Learner of the Week
At Farthinghoe Community Primary School we encourage all of our children to shine and excel.
In recognition of children's hard work, positive attitude and commitment to the school values, we celebrate by awarding 2 children, each week the 'Star of the Week' title.
Every week, a child from each class will receive the ‘Star of the Week’ notoriety from their class teacher and each half term a child from each class will be celebrated by receiving the ‘Headteacher’s Award’. This recognition will not solely be academic based and will instead provide an opportunity to praise the individuals for their hard work, kindness or behaviour.
In addition, on the last Friday of each month, during playtime, Ms Turner holds a ‘Hot Choc and Biscuits’ treat. One child from each year group is nominated by the teacher and teaching assistants in their class to join Ms Turner for this reward.
Achievement assemblies place each Friday and are a fantastic opportunity for the children to share their achievements with their peers.
